This crimp die applies a profile crimp (i.e. roll crimp on rimmed calibres) or taper crimp if the cartridge headspaces on the case mouth (i.e. most pistol calibres). A generous radius of the die-mouth aids bullet entry into the case, great for progressive reloading.

These dies have standard threads (7/8" x 14tpi), so can be used on most reloading machines. They are well suited for progressive reloading machines where space on the tool head is limited, and the top-adjustments offer incredible convenience.
Case lube is not required on crimp dies. In general, as part of a progressive reloading process, we recommend using an easy-to-apply, spray-on case lubricant like Dillon's DCL, with lanolin (DLN-13733).
Case lube saves wear and tear on the cartridge cases and your reloading equipment; you'll feel the significant reduction in force required to operate the press!
