DAA Primer-Pro Collator

The Double Alpha Primer-Pro is a double alpha’s unique approach to handling primers, using a collator type solution to allow only correctly orientated primers to exit the bowl through 20 precisely formatted channels. Anvil down and they will not pass through the channel and slide back into the bowl as their channel reaches the top of its rotation.

This rejection type design makes it virtually impossible for primers to enter the output channel if incorrectly orientated, double alpha has run tests in which 100 tubes were filled (10 000 primers) without a single up-side-down primer!

The optical sensor counts the primers and stops the collator once 100 primers have been counted into the primer-tube. The electronic processor also monitors the sensor and is programmed to stop the collator if primers hang-up on the exit hole and stack up along the ramp. The LED will flash quickly to indicate there is a problem and once cleared, pressing the start button again will allow the collator to run the count and continue from where it left off.

The Double Alpha Primer-Pro’s output actuator arm is activated by a lever system off the timing disk at the bottom of the collator assembly, sliding the primers from the bottom, moving them over to the output hole and retracting to allow the primer to fall cleanly down into the awaiting primer tube.

The PRIMER-PRO is currently available for Smaller Primers only, handling Small-Rifle or Small-Pistol Primers equally well. One magnetic collar is provided with the primer-pro, more can be purchased separately.
